Frequently Asked Questions About Our Prices
Are these prices fixed, or will I be charged more if the job takes longer?
Completely fixed. We quote based on your property type and the price doesn’t change on the day — whether the job takes 45 minutes or two hours. We’ve seen badly blocked gutters with two years of compacted debris in them and charged the standard rate. That’s what fixed prices mean.
Is VAT included in the prices?
Yes — all prices listed include VAT. What you see is what you pay.
When do I pay?
After you’ve inspected the work. We’ll send you the before and after photos and walk you through what we found. Once you’re happy with the job, we accept cash, card or bank transfer — whichever is easiest for you.
Is there a call-out fee or minimum charge?
No call-out fee. The prices listed are the full charge for the job. If we arrive and your gutters are genuinely already clear — no debris, no blockages — we’ll tell you honestly and charge a reduced inspection rate, not the full clean price.
What counts as a “detached” house versus a “semi-detached”?
A semi-detached shares one wall with a neighbour and typically has gutters on three sides (front, rear, and one end). A detached stands alone and has gutters on all four sides. If you’re unsure, just tell us your property type when you call and we’ll confirm the price based on what you describe.
Do you charge more for properties that haven’t been cleaned for several years?
No — the fixed price covers the job regardless of blockage severity. If a property genuinely has exceptional complexity (for example, a particularly large Edwardian villa with extensive gutter runs on multiple levels), we’d say so before confirming the price. But for standard property types, the rate doesn’t change based on condition.
